Markus Schulz has created a new compilation dedicated to the city of Los Angeles.

“Electronic dance music has blown up huge in the United States this past 12 months. One of the main reasons driving that is the scene in Los Angeles, where a new generation of clubbers are uniting with long-term fans and creating one of the most passionate scenes anywhere on the globe,” he says.

Disc 1 features a musical overture by Schulz himself as well as tracks by Danilo Ercole, Klauss Goulart, Nifra, Mark Otten and Beat Service.

Disc 2 opens with Schulz’ tribute to the famous Hollywood club Avalon and then delivers tracks by Arnej, Rex Mundi, DNS Project and Mr Pit.

Mixmag have made it album of the month and commented “Schulz clearly demonstrates his native understanding of the floor-attacking, uncompromising trance that holds sway over LA’s clubs and arenas.”

Markus Schulz – Los Angeles ’12 is released on Armada Music on 17 February 2012.
