Dave Pearce has released a new mix album featuring the latest in trance and progressive.
Artists including Above & Beyond, Farius, Max Freegrant, Cosmic Gate, Johnny Yono and Stoneface & Terminal feature on the new release which is available via iTunes.
Dave Pearce is one of the top dance music DJs in the UK.  Following over 10 years at BBC Radio 1 during which he helped pioneer the success of dance music on the station he continues to tour and release albums celebrating the latest in trance, EDM and progressive.
During 2017 Dave has made numerous festival and club appearances including Trance Sanctuary at The Egg and Ministry of Sound in London. He has also returned to Ibiza playing Es Paradis alongside Alex M.O.R.P.H.

Para X is to release a debut artist album.

In the past his tracks have featured on global compilations by EMI and Sony as well as established underground albums such as Technoclub and D-Trance.

He has also found himself on the playlists of names including Armin van Buuren, Paul van Dyk, Aly & Fila, Giuseppe Ottaviani and Manuel Le Saux.

Rising Star represents his first solo album and features tracks including Northern Clouds, Sparkling Waterfalls, Psycholada and Heal My Wounds.

“The beauty of trance fulfils my life with pure bliss,” he says.

“Emotional music helps me to escape from all the bad and devastating things in life. It is always there for you when you need it and it doesn’t ask for reward. Knowing that there are people out there feeling just the same way as me pushed me towards creating this album. I wanted to share my emotions and provide a place to escape your troubles once in a while.”

Para X – Rising Star will be released as a CD and for download by Discover Records on 29 May 2017.

Twenty

chicane

A new album has been released celebrating twenty years of the artist Chicane.

It features original as well as updated mixes of classic tracks and traces a musical journey from the seminal Offshore to the present day.

Artists who have contributed to the album include Kryder, Philip George, Jody Wisternoff, Grum and Thomas Datt.

The iTunes version of the album features a 30 minute interview with Chicane about the last 20 years of his career and a previously unseen collection of photos.

“The Twenty album is not drawing a line under my career. It is a celebratory project,” says Chicane.

“I’m going to continue writing the music that I love. Onwards and upwards!”

Has anyone been watching HBO’s Emmy-award-winning The Knick? It features an electronic soundtrack by Cliff Martinez.

To co-incide with the second series, which airs in the UK on Fridays at 21.00 on Sky Atlantic, a new album has been released with tracks by Martinez and Gregory Tripi.

The series is directed by Steven Soderbergh who is known for his work on Behind The Candelabra, Magic Mike and Contagion. Actor Clive Owen stars as cocaine-addicted Dr Thackery who works at the highly experimental fictional Knickerbocker Hospital in New York in 1900.

The soundtrack is weird and wonderful and beautifully evokes the unusual atmosphere of the series.

Track titles include Pig Thermometer, So You Want To Cook Me and Son Of Necrotic Bowel Resection.

Faithless 2.0

Faithless have released a new compilation.

It features classic tracks such as Insomnia, We Come 1 and God Is A DJ remixed by some of the hottest artists currently on the dance music scene including Avicii, Armin van Buuren and Eric Prydz.

Other artists who have added a fresh twist to Faithless’ music include Above & Beyond, Axwell, Claptone and Autograf.

The second disc features the tracks in their original form.

The album – Faithless 2.0 – has been released in anticipation of a UK tour visiting Glasgow, Birmingham, London and Manchester.

Alesso to play one-off show in London

Grammy nominated Swedish DJ/producer Alesso has announced he will perform at at special event at Koko in London on Friday 8 May 2015.

Having previously sold out venues such as the O2 Academy in Brixton the producer will play to a smaller crowd of just 1,400.

Alesso’s debut album – Forever – will be released on 25 May via Virgin EMI/Def Jam Recordings. The album features collaborations with Calvin Harris and Ryan Tedder as well as the singles Cool and Heroes.

Tickets for the performance at Koko go on sale at 10.00 on Friday 17 April 2015 and the album is available to pre-order now.

New album by Kyau & Albert

Ralph Kyau and Steve Albert are set to release their new Distant Lights album on 13 February 2015.

It features original tracks such as Easy, Are You One Of Us and Follow The Waves. There are also collaborations with artists including Stoneface & Terminal and Neev Kennedy.

The album release is supported by a global tour with the duo visiting Germany, the USA and the Czech Republic over the next few months. More dates are yet to be announced.

Kyau & Albert – Distant Lights will be released on Euphonic and is available to pre-order.
