Rising Star

back or inside 2

Para X is to release a debut artist album.

In the past his tracks have featured on global compilations by EMI and Sony as well as established underground albums such as Technoclub and D-Trance.

He has also found himself on the playlists of names including Armin van Buuren, Paul van Dyk, Aly & Fila, Giuseppe Ottaviani and Manuel Le Saux.

Rising Star represents his first solo album and features tracks including Northern Clouds, Sparkling Waterfalls, Psycholada and Heal My Wounds.

“The beauty of trance fulfils my life with pure bliss,” he says.

“Emotional music helps me to escape from all the bad and devastating things in life. It is always there for you when you need it and it doesn’t ask for reward. Knowing that there are people out there feeling just the same way as me pushed me towards creating this album. I wanted to share my emotions and provide a place to escape your troubles once in a while.”

Para X – Rising Star will be released as a CD and for download by Discover Records on 29 May 2017.

Trance producer Gary Maguire has been taking a break from releasing singles while concentrating on his forthcoming debut artist album.

The mixed CD features 13 tracks by an artist described by John Askew as “a genius, with a massive future ahead of him.”

The album, which is called iᴎside, includes tracks such as Don’t Believe The Hype, It’s Complicated, Playing Games and Beer Googles.

The record label responsible for the release promises “Gary’s fans will immediately recognise his unique style which runs like a pulsating blood vessel through the mix. Throbbing basslines and deep techno grooves mix seamlessly with strong hooks and even an assortment of vocals.”

iᴎside will be available in physical form on 16 June 2014 and via download on 30 June on Discover Records.

Manuel Le Saux – First Light

Packshot

I have long been a fan of Italian DJ and producer Manuel Le Saux.

He champions the sound of full-on euphoric trance and has releases on labels such as Recoverworld, A State Of Trance, Nu-Depth and Digital Society Recordings.

He has also played events across Europe including Quest 4 Trance, Luminosity, Tomorrowland and the Entrance Festival.

First Light is his debut artist album and, according to the record label, “sums up what trance is all about: epic strings, lush pads and strong melodies.”

The album features tracks such as Reaper (a collaboration with Fluctor), Dream On, Capricorn and Beautiful Moments Of Life (featuring TrancEye).

I can’t wait to hear it because I feel sure it will rank as a ‘trance event’ of 2013.

Manuel Le Saux – First Light is released as a digital download and CD on 25 February 2013 on Discover Digital.

Trance Pioneers – Sly One vs Jurrane

“They have such a fresh sound that I just can’t get enough,” commented dj and producer John Askew about production outfit Sly One vs Jurrane.

Although the duo stopped creating music together at the beginning of 2012, Discover Records have released a celebration of their work.

Trance Pioneers 002 (Sly One vs Jurrane) features all their original tracks including Timebomb, Tayrona, Second Summer and Time To Say Goodbye.

There are also some of the remixes they created for the likes of Sean Tyas, Haris C, Indecent Noise and Matt Hardwick.

The album is available from Beatport.

Dark Sessions

This is the second installment in the series and the album is mixed by Gary Maguire. It is a journey through the darker side of trance, tech trance and techno.

Gary made his name as a dj and producer on the hardcore scene and then moved into tough trance and techno. His sound soon brought him to the attention of the Discover label group who signed him immediately.

His productions have featured on the playlists of many djs including the likes of Above & Beyond and Paul van Dyk.

Several of his tracks and remixes are showcased on the album which also includes music from Bryan Kearney, John Askew, Sean Tyas, Activa and Sly One.

Dark Sessions II is out now.
