Creamfields opens new chapter in China

Creamfields, in partnership with Live Nation Electronic Asia, are expanding their schedule of events and festivals in China.

The brand plans to host a series of one and two day concerts featuring some of the biggest names in electronic dance music in cities including Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, Chengdu and Xiamen.

“Having staged club events across Asia over the years and following the huge success of the Creamfields Hong Kong and Taipei shows last year, we are looking forward to taking the brand to the next level with Live Nation Electronic Asia and making an even bigger impression on an exciting and ever-growing market,” said Scott Barton, Managing Director of Cream.

The plans include a series of Cream Presents shows in Wuhan, Hangzhou, ChangSha, Shenzhen and Chongqing.

Acts already confirmed for the first event in the schedule – Creamfields Guangzhou in April – include Axwell & Ingrosso, DJ Snake, Don Diablo and Aly & Fila.

“I appreciate the love and support we get from Cream and all the fans across Asia.  I believe in 2018 Creamfields China will open a new chapter in China’s electronic dance music history,” commented Jim Wong, Managing Director of Live Nation Electronic Asia.

Fancy a date with Britney?

If you are a regular reader of this blog you’ll know I was rather partial to the Gareth Wyn remix of Britney Spears single Till The World Ends.

This means I’m looking forward to the next single I Wanna Go which is due around 8 August 2011 which “is an upbeat feel-good anthem that will get even the most reluctant movers on the dancefloor.”  That’s what I’ve been told anyway!  Check out the video and see what you think!

It has also got me thinking about seeing Britney live when she comes to the UK on her Femme Fatale tour.

Luckily, she has just announced some new dates:

Friday 28 October – 02 Arena, London
Monday 31 October – Wembley, London
Thursday 3 November – Metro Radio Arena, Newcastle
Saturday 5 November – Motorpoint Arena, Sheffield

Tickets will be going on sale at 09.00 on Friday 1 July 2011.

These dates are in addition to:

Thursday 27 October – 02 Arena, London
Sunday 30 October – LG Arena, Birmingham
Sunday 6 November – Evening News Arena, Manchester

Tickets for which are already on sale via

The tour celebrates Britney’s 7th studio album which debuted at number 1 in the US and around the world.

Did you know Britney has sold more than 70m albums worldwide since her debut in 1999?  She has also appeared in the hit TV series Glee and is well known for her thrilling live performances.

Sounds like this might be something not to miss?  Who’s coming?
